GLOBAL WARMING DOES NOT CAUSE EXTREME WEATHER EVENTS

Section 3 described a plot by the U.S. Government, the British government and the United Nations to fabricate
evidence that extreme weather events are caused by global warming.  Revelations, about new evidence of
extreme weather events, caused by global warming, appear in the media every week.  It is sad that government
money has hijacked atmospheric science for political purposes.  Government functionaries and climate change
loonies continuously remind us that global average surface temperature (GAST) is increasing.  We are supposed
to  be frightened into giving up our freedoms to save the planet.  Hogwash?

If the planet is warming, beyond natural solar cycles, it is not caused by man made carbon dioxide.  Water vapor
and clouds are the primary contributors to Earth’s greenhouse effect.  Other greenhouse gases emit a small
fraction of radiation toward the planet’s surface.  Man made carbon dioxide makes up a small fraction of that
return radiation.  Theoretically solar radiation and the greenhouse effect make Earth’s surface too hot for human
habitation.  Weather makes the planet habitable for humans.  If the planet’s surface is warming, it is because
weather is causing it to warm.  See examples of this warming in Appendices 1 and 2.

Meteorologists have known for more than fifty years that surface temperature does not force extreme weather
events (Record heat, cold, rainfall, snowfall, hail. tornadoes, etc.).  Weather determines surface temperature.  For
example, the first operational numerical (computer) weather prediction models, in the 1960’s, predicted upper
atmosphere (above 4 miles) mass structure (temperature and wind) first.  Lower atmosphere mass structure was
moved forward, with little change, under the upper atmosphere prediction.  Surface temperature was then
computed using statistical models based on the mass structure predictions.  In other words, surface temperature
has little predictive value.  And global warming cannot predict extreme weather events.

The following slide shows demonstrate that upper atmosphere processes control extreme weather events.
Surface temperature and global warming have little to no influence.
SLIDE SHOW #2 shows what caused the extreme weather events of October 2010.  Media experts are already
blaming the extreme weather events of October 2010 on global warming.  Nonsense.  GAST had nothing to do with
Extreme October Weather.
