         First supercomputer, dedicated to ocean circulation predictions, at the Naval Oceanographic Office.

    •        Provided Numerical Meteorological and Oceanographic analysis and prognostic charts to Naval Weather Service Centrals,
            Facilities and Detachments.
    •        Installed operational super-computer models:
           “Navy Operational Global Atmospheric Prediction System”  (NOGAPS).
    •       “Global Spectral Ocean Wave Prediction Model” (GSOWM)
    •       “Optimum Path Aircraft Routing System” (OPARS)
    •        Provided backup for the National Weather Service, National Meteorological Center.
    •        Preserved Naval Weather Service.

    Automated Environmental Prediction System Project Manager, Naval Air Systems Command, Crystal City, VA. 1975-76.
    •        Managed development of meteorological and oceanographic software including NOGAPS, GSOWM and OPARS.

    Operations Officer.  Naval Weather Service Command, Washington, D.C.  1971-75.
         •       Responsible for quality and timeliness of Meteorological and Oceanographic predictions for U.S. Navy Operating Forces and
            the Shore Establishment worldwide.

    Operations Officer and Executive Officer. Fleet Weather Central, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. 1967-1971.
    •        Responsible for quality and timeliness of Meteorological and Oceanographic products for U.S. Navy Operations in the Pacific
            Ocean region.

    Computer Duty Officer, Fleet Numerical Weather Central, Monterey, CA.  1964-66.
    •        Hurricane/Typhoon Tracking Project Officer.
    •        Created and Directed “Computer Products Training Course” for Naval Weather Service Forecasters.
    •        Authored “Naval Weather Service Computer Products Manual,” Naval Air Systems Command, NAVAIR 50-1G-522, 1967.

    Forecast Duty Officer, Fleet Weather Central Pearl Harbor, Hawaii 1961-1963.
    •        Prepared Meteorological and Oceanographic analysis and prognostic charts for the North Pacific Ocean, including: Surface
            wind, pressure, sea surface temperature, significant wave height, surf height and upper level winds to 40,000 feet.
